Naafi Nur Rohma is a professional children's book illustrator and art director based in Indonesia, with over a decade of experience in the industry. Her career journey began with a deep love for 90s-era picture books, such as the works of Shogo Hirata (Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Thumbelina). This inspiration eventually led her to earn a Master of Arts from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Surakarta and to establish a dedicated career in children's illustration.

Her style seamlessly blends digital tools with a traditional feel, creating rich, textured visuals that maintain a natural, hand-drawn quality. Naafi has collaborated with various publishers and institutions, including Bestari x Room to Read, Grasindo, the Indonesian Center for Books, Storytime Magazine, and Zain Bhikha Studios. Her primary focus is creating engaging visuals that invite children to linger and immerse themselves in every page.

Beyond her work as a creator, Naafi has served as an Art Director/Visual Editor at the Indonesian Center for Books (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology), where she helped direct and develop children's book concepts at a national level. This role provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the publishing industry, from initial concept development to technical production. She is now eager to bring her expertise to the global industry.

As an Indonesian artist, her cultural background deeply informs her visual storytelling. She often draws inspiration from her surroundings and believes that visual storytelling is a universal language that can foster empathy and curiosity in young readers worldwide.

Naafi is currently
seeking agency representation and is enthusiastic about collaborating on picture books and board books. She has a particular interest in themes related to Islam, family, friendship, adventure, nature, animals, culture, and education.
